The company had an aggressive hiring goal: to double in size within a year. We were asked to create a multi-pronged recruitment strategy to help build awareness and generate interest within the Boston tech community — including college students — for short- and long-term talent recruitment.

We collaborated with Markforged to create a client-specific ad campaign featuring photos of and quotes from a selection of actual Markforged employees in the workplace and a newly designed careers page on the client’s website.
The campaign featured custom photos of and actual quotes from actual Markforged employees describing their roles at Markforged and why they enjoyed working there.
For the employee portraits, we used limited color palettes and cool tones. We also included Markforged hardware and software in each image to capture all individuals in their work environment while keeping our keywords in mind — aspirational, industrious, human, real, natural, and diverse.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all campaign work happened virtually via Zoom — including a remotely directed photoshoot between San Francisco and Boston.

We delivered a high-quality recruitment/awareness campaign — Forge the Future — that Markforged could use across various mediums and formats including paid and unpaid social media platforms. It achieved an overall increase in viable candidates and new hires.
We worked closely with Ad Council and Love Has No Labels to extend the PSA video into a campaign that adapts to different media formats. The full page newspaper ad placements pull direct quotes from the individuals in the video to tell their stories boldly in print.
